Fall 2026 Registration Intake Appointments for English and Citizenship classes are now available!
Enrollment for English and Citizenship classes is in-person, by appointment only. Students need to click the yellow Schedule Intake Appointment button, choose their appointment date/time, and enter their name, phone number, and email address to schedule their appointment. A confirmation email will be sent to the email provided.
The student must come to the in-person appointment– a family member or friend may not register on behalf of someone else. During the intake appointment, students will fill out a form, take a speaking and reading test, sign up for class notifications, pay, and receive their class placement and book. This will take approximately 1.5-2 hours. For more information about what to expect during registration, please read below.
During a registration intake appointment, students will:
- Fill out a registration form
- Complete an oral (speaking test)
- Take a reading test
- Be placed in your English class based on your oral and reading test scores
- Be set up in our system to receive messages
Each student who wishes to register must be 18 years or older and must make their own appointment; walk-ins are NOT accepted.
Many students wish to register– each student may make ONLY ONE appointment. For those making multiple appointments, only the first appointment time will be kept and other appointments will be canceled. If you have any questions or need help making an appointment, please contact our office at (571) 428-2507.

Enrollment Process
Step one: Schedule an intake appointmentAll students must schedule an intake appointment to come in-person to complete registration. Family members or friends planning to register together, must schedule an appointment for each individual registering for classes. |
|
Step two: Come to your in-person intake appointment and fill out a formOur form asks your personal information (such as name, address, phone number, emergency contact, and family income). We keep your personal information confidential. Staff and volunteers will be able to assist you, if needed. |
|
Step three: Take a speaking/listening testAll students regardless of level must complete testing to be enrolled. We offer eight levels of English and we want to be sure that you are placed in a class with students who are closest to your level. The speaking test is a short, informal interview. There are ten questions and while we encourage you to respond in complete sentences if you are able, we understand that many students are not. Do the best you can and try not to be nervous! |
|
Step four: Take a reading testTake a multiple choice reading test. This is a timed test and takes 1 hour to complete. |
|
Step five: Enroll in REMIND message systemWe send class information and announcements via a message system called Remind. You will be enrolled in the system to receive text messages, but if you prefer, you can download the app and change your preferences to receive emails or push notifications. You can also update your preferences to receive messages in your language in Remind. |
